Kim has always had a love of jewellery and has often joked that she is like a magpie – loving sparkly shiny, pretty things. 

In May of 2020 during New Zealand’s lockdown due to Covid 19, Kim saw former Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern wearing a pair of recycled rubber feather earrings.  Unable to purchase them, Kim created her own pair and the rest they say is history.  She has now gone on to create dozens of different earring and necklace designs inspired by her love of the flora and fauna of Aotearoa.

Kim’s handmade Inarapa recycled rubber products are for lovers of jewellery; they make perfect gifts for mama’s; tamariki; kare/friends and to thank and honour those that have helped us in some way. Kim loves to create custom jewellery for you personally or as a gift.  For example, a koru to represent whānau members, specific manu/bird earrings – Tui, Kingfisher and Piwakawaka/fantail, iwi colours,tukutuku panel inspired etc.

Kim has created and gifted earrings to wahine such as our former Prime Minister called Labour of Love; Amy Scott creator of the “Get Dotted” personality type and many other beautiful wahine who have served their community and whānau.
