From Fashion Dreams to Helping You Shine

At 50+, I’ve spent over 40 years navigating my relationship with my body.

As a bigger woman, being well-dressed became incredibly important to me. It was my way of showing the world I cared about myself — even when I didn’t always feel that way inside.

Black clothing often became my default, simply because that’s what was available.

But my love for fashion started long before that.

As a little girl, I was captivated by my glamorous Aunty Jean from Sydney — always arriving in feather boas, sparkly shoes, and fabulous pearls. She made fashion feel joyful, expressive, and a little bit magical.

Life later took me from city lights (yes… Invercargill!) to rural Southland, where my husband Peter and I built a life together and raised our two children in Dipton.

Over the years I’ve worn many hats — from nurse to business owner to community worker — but one thing has always remained the same: I’ve always loved helping people.

When Covid hit, I discovered a creative outlet making recycled rubber earrings, eventually selling thousands of pairs worldwide. But after releasing 20kgs and doing some serious soul-searching, I realised something important.

The thing I’d been drawn to all along — fashion, style, and helping women feel good in themselves — had been there the whole time.

In 2025, I trained as a personal stylist and colour analyst through the London College of Style, and now I work with women across Southland, Central Otago and beyond.

I believe every woman deserves to feel confident in what she wears — regardless of size, age, or stage of life.
