Sam is a trapper and conservation worker who runs the hugely popular Instagram page @sam_the_trap_man

He runs the Eastern Whig Link, a volunteer organisation restoring native blue ducks to the rivers of the Waioeka on the East Coast. He lives with his partner Roimata and their two young children in Gisborne.
